For every pair that is purchased, GROWN® will fund sight-restoring eye-surgery for 1 person or diagnostic eye examinations for 12 children, through our giving partner SEVA Canada.

About our Giving Partner

Seva (pronounced say-va) is a Sanskrit word for service. Seva® Canada is an international eye care charity founded in 1982 to restore sight & prevent blindness in the developing world. Seva’s vision is a world in which no one is needlessly blind or visually impaired and where those with unavoidable vision loss can achieve their full potential. Seva believes in equal access to eye care for all and their programs are directed to those most in need – women, children and people living in extreme poverty. To date, Seva’s partner programs have restored sight to more than 3 million people & currently Seva Canada works in 9 of the poorest places in the world: Nepal, Tibet, India, Tanzania, Malawi, Madagascar, Cambodia, Guatemala and Egypt.

Our Product Standards

Our sunglasses are handcrafted from durable Bamboo, Ecotate® and hardwoods such as maple, ebony and walnut. All of the natural materials used are organic, renewable and free from harmful or toxic elements. Because Grown eyewear is made using bamboo or wood, each pair has a completely unique grain pattern, and no two pairs are identical. Our resources come only from ethically sourced and managed forests which are bound by the sustainable forestry management standards of the FSC. As a standard, all Grown wooden eyewear comes with premium stainless steel spring hinges and European standard (CE) UV 400 (100% UVA/UVB) Polarized lenses. On top of this we back our product with a 100 day warranty and 180 day accident coverage - an industry first.
